The Supplier Quality Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our products throughout the supply chain and in communicating BMW's expectations and CSR to suppliers and subcontractors. The ideal candidate should have strong quality assurance skills, experience in supplier development, fluent English and German, and direct experience working with BMW quality processes and expectations.
What will be your job description?
- Ensuring product quality throughout the entire supply chain.
- Transfer of BMW's expectations and CSR (Customer Specific Requirement) standards to suppliers and subcontractors.
- Collaboration with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with BMW processes and quality standards.
- Developing and improving suppliers in terms of quality.
- Regular communication in English and German during negotiations with suppliers and internal teams.
What knowledge and skills should you have?
- Experience in quality management, preferably in the automotive industry, with direct experience working with BMW as a customer.
- Fluent knowledge of English (written and spoken).
- Preferred direct experience working with BMW processes, standards, and quality expectations.
- Good knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, tools and documents, such as 8D reports, PPAP, FMEA, CP, etc.
- Experience in conducting supplier audits and internal audits.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards and quality management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to continuously improve and solve problems.
