We are looking for someone to join our team Indirect Purchasing Specialist, who will be responsible for the procurement of indirect materials, services and equipment that support the company’s operations. This includes, for example, MRO, production consumables, logistics and packaging, corporate services and CAPEX projects.
If you have experience in purchasing, are skilled at dealing with suppliers, enjoy finding ways to save money, and would like to be part of a growing automotive company, we’d love to meet you.
What the role entails
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Arranging the procurement of consumables, services and equipment in accordance with the company’s requirements,
- searching for, evaluating and selecting suppliers,
- negotiating prices, payment terms, delivery dates and service levels,
- building and maintaining long-term relationships with suppliers,
- identifying cost savings and opportunities to improve procurement processes,
- monitoring the market, inflation and the impact of commodity prices,
- analysis of purchasing data and identification of opportunities for optimisation,
- the preparation of budgets, forecasts and regular reports/KPIs,
- cooperation with internal departments, in particular finance, production, logistics and maintenance,
- support in the categories of MRO, manufacturing consumables, logistics and packaging, corporate services and CAPEX.
What we expect from you
- Experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain management,
- excellent negotiation, analytical and communication skills,
- the ability to work independently, in an organised manner and to manage multiple priorities at once,
- proficiency in MS Office; experience with procurement software or an ERP system would be an advantage,
- a working knowledge of English,
- an overview of procurement processes, the supplier market and opportunities for cost optimisation.
This will be an advantage
- experience in a manufacturing or international company,
- experience with an ERP system, such as SAP,
- knowledge of the automotive sector.
