Interview with a newcomer from the IT department

The first month of internships and temporary jobs for our university students is over! And honestly? We are very happy - not only that they have become part of our team, but most importantly that they want to continue with us. 🙌

We were interested in how they see the company through their eyes - what surprised them, what they enjoy and what they would change.
The first person we interviewed Standa Žižka, a newcomer from the IT department who has only recently joined us, but has already immersed himself in the work.

🎓How do our temporary workers see it?

1. Can you briefly tell us what you are studying and why you chose IT?
It was more of a coincidence - I studied electrical engineering, but I didn't want to pursue it further, and I wasn't sure what exactly I wanted to do. I chose systems engineering (half IT and half economics), and later switched to pure IT.

2. How did you find out about this job?
I was looking for a full-time job, and thanks to a friend who recommended me, I ended up Danielethat I approached directly.

3. What was your first impression of the company?
I was surprised by the size of the hall and the overall different environment than I was used to. I was also surprised that everyone was chatting - it felt like a family environment.

4. What surprised you most when you joined - either positively or negatively?
We met on Wednesday and by Friday I was already working. So definitely the speed.

5. Have you had the opportunity to solve tasks independently, or do you rather work in a team?
I usually work alone, but in production it works as a team. For example, I've dealt with remote control of the TV in the boardroom, projection, etc. I was quickly thrown into the water. I got into Magic Info and TISAX - all new to me.

7. What do you enjoy most about your work so far, and why?
I'm least fond of TISAX, because I don't have the knowledge for it yet. I mostly enjoy implementing devices and onboards, even though they are tedious. I've also been doing OneDrive recovery. I'm gaining new and new experiences every day.

7. Is there anything here that taught you more than school?
Practice for sure.

10. Do you feel that you see the practical side of industry and manufacturing differently than you used to?
I can't quite say that because it's my first experience with this type of production. But I can see the lines growing and what's happening on them, and that's great.

11. What would you like to change or improve about your time here?
I would welcome more colleagues in the IT department or INDU. There are a lot of tasks - we complete two or three a day, but ten more will come.

12. Is there anything you feel is lacking - perhaps in communication, training, facilities or assignments?
Anyway, we'll work everything out.

13. Can you imagine going back after school - even full-time?
I'm sure it is. I can imagine an HPP in IT support or something towards development in the future.
It's a lot more work for me than I'm used to - about 600 %. But that's why I give it a lot of weight, because I'm dealing with X areas that are related.

14. What would motivate you to stay here in the future?
HPP in NOBO.

16. In one word - how would you describe our company so far?
Friendly environment.

💬 What can I say?

Quick start, a good dose of responsibility and a huge appetite to learn.
Standa Žižka is an example of how even in a short period of time you can move on - and especially what it looks like when a temporary worker thinks about his future with us.

If you're looking for a place where you can really get hands-on, meet great people and not just brew coffee - you know where to find us. 😉
